THE BACKSTORY: WHY I TITLED THIS BOOK HEAVEN HELP ME?

The intention of this book is to help you remember how powerful you truly are. You are deeply loved by the Universe, by God, by Life itself—yet it’s easy to forget. Heaven Help Me is an invitation to remember your inner light, to reconnect with higher wisdom, and to expect guidance, answers, and even miracles. This is a real awakening—sometimes funny, sometimes raw—filled with eye-opening moments, insight, and truth.

The title came from a prayer I repeated daily during one of the most traumatizing chapters of my life. Trapped in an abusive marriage, knowing my daughters were watching and that patterns repeat, I cried out, “Heaven help me. Please rescue us.” I asked God why I wasn’t being helped. Then, in a moment of clear knowing, I understood: I had to be brave. I had to rescue myself and my girls. My prayer shifted from fear to alignment—“Show me how. Guide my steps.” From that moment, everything changed. Doors opened. Support appeared. What followed was transformation, growth, and grace.

This book is filled with over 30 years of spiritual wisdom, lived experience, and practical insight—simple, relatable examples that teach you how to listen to divine guidance, trust your inner knowing, and manifest from a place of faith rather than fear. Whether you are just beginning your spiritual journey or have walked this path for years, my hope is that these stories remind you of your own strength, your connection to the divine, and the truth that heaven helps us most when we learn to rise and walk with it.

From a very young age Donna experienced some odd happenings, like seeing the Blessed Mother and hearing voices. During her high school years a deeper wisdom emerged within her core that was different than anything familiar from her traditional upbringing. With so many unanswered questions she began to explore the invisible world that she was told was taboo. She discovered that God does not judge and separate, rather God is love without conditions, and we humans are amazingly powerful energy beings. Donna became skilled at learning how the Universe spoke to her by observing what was showing up in her life. She shares personal stories as well as examples of how to ask and understand the answers we are receiving from the Universe. She explores her journey from old beliefs to her place of insightful knowledge today as an energy teacher and healer. Donna provides tips, exercises and ideas on how to begin to manifest and create miracles by shifting vibrational energy. She teaches us that we are truly loved and how fun life can be when we learn the truth of our power in creating our experiences.
